"Phenomena Architecture" Created by Computers
Humans communicate shape and spatial information through words and pictures. Therefore, we can only convey a portion of the image we want to communicate to others. This can be described as very low-resolution information. Consequently, humans have abstracted shapes such as lines and circles, intentionally lowering the resolution of information to accurately convey information, share form information with others, and efficiently create objects.
On the other hand, computers can accurately input and output complex curves. They can handle information with extremely high resolution. If designs are generated by a computer and manufactured using fabrication control equipment connected to the computer, complex curves can be generated just as efficiently as straight lines.
In the future, in a world where spaces can be created solely by computers without human intervention, architecture will become more organic, and a greater variety of spaces will be created than ever before.
When we design architecture, our theme is a kind of "phenomenon" that is close to nature, like how buildings are automatically generated by computers.
